The Austin Postal Customer Council invites you
to attend our

Mailpiece Quality Control Specialist
Certification Program

Thursday, October 15th,  2008

The U.S. Postal Service developed the Mailpiece Quality Control (MQC) Certification and Exam to recognize mailers, printers, and mailing services for their expertise and knowledge of proper mailpiece design. The program is a self-study course designed to train mailers to develop mailpieces that meet the USPS goal of 100 percent automation compatibility. Mailpieces that meet USPS(r) regulations can significantly reduce postage costs and improve product deliverability. In addition, mailers who are knowledgeable of automation requirements can take advantage of automation discounts, which further reduce mailing costs.

The Austin PCC is excited to offer the MQC Exam (2-year certification program) on an ongoing basis with the intent to continue offering the exam to all interested parties on a bi-annual basis. By offering the exam twice yearly, all interested parties will have the ability to maintain their MQC status on an ongoing basis.

Class sizes are limited to the first 9 pre-paid registrants, so take advantage of this opportunity and get registered today!

  • Specific training modules include the following:
  • Barcoding specifications and requirements
  • Mail classes and processing categories
  • Addressing and return address information
  • Endorsements
  • Reply mail
  • Permit imprints
  • Hazardous materials

Upon successful completion of the exam a MQC certificate and lapel pin will be issued. Link to MQC Self Study Guide:
